Biggie said it in five words:

It was all a dream.

This shop is a culmination of years of self-healing. Through meditation, journaling, crystal work, and other practices, I was able to hone my inner guiding compass. The decades of conditioning (parental, societal, colonized, capitalist) started to dismantle, and the process continues. Maybe you’re going through something similar. Maybe these tools can help you too.

The stones.

All stones used in the shop are natural. This means that there may be some variations between what is pictured and what you receive. Know that they will not be vastly different and it’s all due to the unique artistry that Mother Nature offers.

The malas.

All malas are handcrafted with 108 stones, and a guru bead for Japa meditation (meditation with your breath and a mantra). Tassels are handmade unless otherwise indicated. Are you looking for a custom made mala? Click below.

So… why the name Lavender and Loneliness?

I used to joke with my friends that I would one day have a shop called "Bicycle & Lavender" just to sound like the most hipster-est thing that you ever did see. So when I opened an online shop I kept the Lavender because I genuinely like it. And I added the Loneliness portion because my mindfulness practice, including creating malas, was a response to my depression. My loneliness was the catalyst for my shop's creation and I wanted to identify that.

We are conditioned to suppress our low-vibrational feelings because of the discomfort they carry. But sometimes, part of your greatness comes from facing that discomfort. Sometimes, when you stop swimming against the current, the river can take you to some fantastic places.

Thank you for visiting my shop.
